Prayer is our opportunity to talk with God and hear from Him.  It's a conversation with our Creator.  At Cortaro Vista we are a community who know and trust God, while asking Him to work in and around us.

The prayer requests for August 8, 2010:

1.  Gloria Miller's mom, Lucille, still struggling with recuperating from a stroke.

2.  Eula (a friend of Claire's) is having triple by-pass heart surgery tomorrow.

3.  Ruth Garner, Ed's sister-in-law, had a heart attack this morning.

4.  Joey, Brenda's friend in CT, is having facial surgery tomorrow.  Praise that Dad Joe is home safely and able to be with his family during this difficult time. Prayers for their (Mom and Dad) comfort, strength and peace during this trial.

5.  Marilu's granddaughter has some personal things she needs the Lord's guidance in.  Prayers that she can leave the matter(s) with the Lord and let Him handle them.

Thank you all for your prayers and support.  We serve a God who is in control if we just let Him be.
